Are you ready for Google’s April 21st mobile friendly deadline?

Google is making some big changes! From April 21st your top spot on Google’s first page is guaranteed to be in jeopardy unless your website is built for mobile devices, with mobile friendly sites gaining the top spots in mobile phone searches over those that aren’t.

So, what do these changes mean for you and your website? fundamentally, if your website is not mobile friendly then it will appear further down search results when someone searches on a mobile phone. Don’t think this won’t make much of a difference though. 80% of all internet users own a web enabled mobile phone and searches on smart phones are currently growing faster than pc searches, with local searches 20% higher on mobile than PC. Basically, if you want to future proof your site, and preserve all your hard earned SEO results, you’ll want to get your website mobile friendly asap!
